Andrew's Story
Andrew's perspective on life changed suddenly in 2004 after a serious car accident that left him in a coma for 18 days and with multiple serious injuries.

The years that followed involved a long recovery, including learning to walk again, along with the emotional and psychological challenges that often follow life-changing events.
During that time, life began to look very different.
The small things carried more meaning.
Time felt more valuable.
Moments with family and friends mattered.
Many of the worries that once felt big suddenly felt unimportant.

As Andrew recovered, he began sharing his story with high school students, community groups, and organisations.
Over the years, he has spoken with thousands of students, focusing on perspective, choices, and the reality that life can change in an instant.

These conversations often became more than just one story.
They became about perspective.
About gratitude.
About recognising what really matters.
For some, sharing their own experiences became part of the process.
For others, simply listening created reflection.
Second Chance grew from these moments.

A space where stories help people slow down, smile more, worry less about the small things, and appreciate the opportunity that comes with each new day.
Because sometimes hearing someone else's story reminds you not to take life so seriously, to care more, laugh more, and support each other along the way.
